George Botis
Over my 23 years of experience in the music industry (both in studios and concerts) I have worked with names including Alan Parsons, Vin Gordon (The Wailers / Skatalites), Gary Christian (The Christians), Dawn Penn, Amparo Sanchez (Amparanoia), Vic Coppersmith Heaven, Dave de Rose (Mulatu Astatke / Mark Ronson / Roisin Murphy / Moloko), Baba Zula, 47SOUL, Valia Calda, Steam Down, Electric Litany, Tankus the Henge, the Langan Band and many others.
I have toured and mixed the support artists for Alan Parsons Live Project European Tour 2013, 3 Doors Down European Tour 2017, Interpol Live in Athens 2012, The Prodigy Live in Athens 2015 and many more.
I have worked as an in house sound engineer for many well known London venues and UK festivals such as: Barbican Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hall, O2 Academy Islington, Glastonbury Festival, Secret Garden Party, SCALA London, Vortex Jazz Club, Hootananny Brixton etc.
As a freelance AV Tech I have worked for: Bloomberg, The British Library, Institute of Contemporary Art, The British Academy, Royal College of Physicians, Royal Geographical Society and many more.
Together with fellow engineers, I built Reaction Studios Athens (2005), and DADA Studios London (2013).
In 2019 I founded GBD Records. An independent, post-genre record label.
I mix and master most of my projects in my personal studios, Okinawa Studios London and DADA Studios Athens.
Back in 2001 I spent my first years trained under Akis Golfidis at Sierra Studios Athens. Between 2001 and 2013 I have made many albums and have toured many shows with projects including most of the big bands and artists of Greece.
